Members of the Global Nano Network team recently attended London Tech Week, providing a valuable opportunity to hear first-hand about the key themes shaping the technology landscape in London and across global markets.
One message was clear throughout the event: AI is now part of almost every conversation. At GNN, we view AI as an important end solution rather than the starting point. The real foundation lies in data, and specifically in how it is captured, structured, modelled and applied effectively.
We believe there remains significant opportunity within the battery industry to improve operational performance through better use of data, data modelling and AI. These capabilities will be central to building robust digital twin strategies and supporting smarter, more efficient manufacturing operations.
It was also great to meet organisations that we have worked with and that are helping drive growth and innovation in London, including London & Partners, Global Tech Advocates and Tech London Advocates. It was equally inspiring to hear HRH The Prince of Wales speak about the work of Homewards and how technology is being used to help fight homelessness.
London Tech Week reinforced the pace of innovation across all sectors, and the importance of developing the digital capabilities needed to support industrial progress. The battery industry is no different, and at GNN we believe there is a need to look at all aspects of the challenge, including both physical manufacturing and the digital strategy required to drive efficiency.
