Global Nano Network is proud to have reached an important milestone in the development of sustainable battery electrode manufacturing at the Clean Futures Demo Day.
Supported by the Clean Futures programme, funded by Innovate UK and Connected Places Catapult, the team has advanced its dry electrode manufacturing technology towards commercial readiness. Working in partnership with the Institute for Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering (AME) at Coventry University, we successfully converted our dry electrode process into modular manufacturing systems, creating a practical route for partners to produce high-performance dry electrodes at scale.
This development represents a significant step forward, with the potential to lower battery manufacturing costs, improve electrode performance, and support processes aligned with industrial production standards.
Our enclosed modular system delivered repeatable, high-quality results, demonstrating the scalability of dry electrode manufacturing and its role in supporting the West Midlands Combined Authority’s Net Zero ambitions.
We are now looking to connect with battery cell manufacturers who have established supply chains and are interested in exploring next-generation electrode production.
We would like to thank everyone involved in the Clean Futures programme, and our partners at the Institute of Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering at Coventry University, for their support and collaboration.
