After carrying out successful trials with coin cell testing, Global Nano Network is delighted to announce the we have reached critical milestone to validate our proprietary dry powder manufacturing process. We have built and are currently testing our first LFP full stack cells which brings our dry manufacturing technology a step closer to the market.
With our proprietary dry manufacturing process we can produce sustainable three Dimensional (3D) lithium-ion battery cathodes without NMP offering a significant cost reduction but with improved performance. Our dry manufacturing leverages our Hyperfoil – High performance current collector to which solves one of the main challenges relating to active material adhesion when handling dry powders. Our process can be integrated with existing battery manufacturing infrastructure. The robotic arms are able to manipulate the battery electrodes as though they were produced using traditional slurry casting methods, and the battery materials do not fall off when upside down.
This unique dry manufacturing method allows battery producers to enhance electrode conductivity by improving electrolyte wettability and increasing the superficial area across the surface.
These prototype cells are currently being tested so stay tuned for further updates.
