West Midlands, UK – Global Nano Network (GNN) is honored to be selected as one of the 20 leading SMEs in the West Midlands to participate in the Clean Futures Accelerator programme. This initiative, launched and funded by Connected Places Catapult in collaboration with the Black Country Innovative Manufacturing Organization, Coventry University, and CU Services Limited, focuses on challenge-led areas such as greener electric vehicle components, the circular economy of transport, road freight alternatives, greener transport infrastructure, and future fuels.

As one of the selected companies, GNN has secured £50,000 in funding and will participate in the six-month accelerator program, which includes both technical and commercial support.

The Clean Futures challenge presents an opportunity for GNN to work with experts in manufacturing process design and measurement and simulation. By joining up the product expertise of GNNs engineering team and The AME experts in digital manufacturing GNN can develop a simulation model, defining metrology strategies through deployment of DFM/A techniques.

With the process digitally captured GNN will be able to assess and optimise performance, carbon footprint impact and accelerate production capabilities with an inline metrology strategy to ensure conformity of production. The objective is to have a blue- print of the manufacturing processes in the form of a digital twin to assist with building GNN’s pilot plant in the UK.
